The 2014 spring softball season is just around the corner. Sign-ups have started and indoor warm-ups are starting soon.
 
We are excited to announce we are moving our indoor warm-ups and weekend walk-in sign-ups to the brand new Northeast High School Gymnasium and Auxiliary Gym this year. This is a huge facility and we are expanding these clinics to include 6U - 10U All Skills Clinics, Pitching Clinics for Beginners to Advance Pitchers, a Catching Clinic and a Speed,Agility and Conditioning Clinic.
 
 
We have several challenges this year with getting our season started. The first is the new rule that prevents flyer distributions to AA County schools. We ask that everyone help spread the word about sign-ups and events by forwarding these email and sharing our Havenwood Facebook posts and tweets.
 
Also, because Easter falls on our normal Opening Day, the season will start early this year. We need for everyone to sign-up early this season to allow us to set teams and order uniforms in time.  We will be cutting off sign-ups early this year and will not attempt to build additional teams late in the process, like we have done in years past. Online Sign-ups:
Players  can sign up for the 2014 spring season online or in person. To sign-up online, go to http://www.HavenwoodGirlsSoftball.org/register .
All major credit cards are accepted online. There is a small credit card service charge to use the online payment system.
 
 
Walk-in Sign-ups:
Walk-In Sign-ups will be held on the following days and will run into February:
  • Tuesday Evenings - 6:30pm - 7:30pm - George Fox Middle School (Outing Ave.)
  • Sunday Afternoons - 3:00pm - 5:00pm - Northeast High School (1121 Duvall Hwy. use the West side entrance, furthest from Ft. Smallwood Rd.)
Sign-up early, some age groups fill fast and we will cut off registrations early this year. Registrations are on a first come basis.
 
 
 
Indoor Winter Warm-ups:
We are holding indoor winter warm-ups again this year. We ask that everyone planning to play for Havenwood in the spring, take advantage of these clinics. Indoor Clinics will be held in the new Northeast Gym and Auxiliary Gym. No drinks, other than water are allowed. All players must wear tennis shoes and should bring a glove. Players can bring additional equipment, if available. The current schedule is below. Many 12U - 19U players have also pre-registered for Saturday hitting and fielding clinics at Bases. I will contact them directly regarding details. They are also encouraged to attend the Sunday clinics at Northeast.
